We are pleased to announce that we have hired Mr. Paul Melotte. Paul is an experienced senior consultant with broad knowledge in Onshore and Offshore QA/QC Welding, Coating Inspection and Site Management. Paul will be working as a lead QA/QC engineer towards offshore wind energy project in Europe and Asia.

Paul’s value proposal is besides his charming personality an extensive experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) towards offshore wind energy projects in Europe and Asia. With a background and hands-on experience of supporting and acting as the company representative, together with providing an analytical mind in the operational offshore wind energy sector, we see Paul as a huge asset! We have experienced a fast growth in the off-shore wind energy segment and Paul will be of huge support in securing a stable development of our international projects.

As his first assignment, he will be working together with an EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation) contractor for the foundation design, fabrication and installation as well as the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) installation on an Offshore Wind Farm, outside the Belgium coast. In this project Paul will be responsible for the offshore handover inspections of the foundations and WTGs as well as supervising the offshore repairs of the foundations. He will also create and follow up on Non Conformity Reporting (NCRs) as well as ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations are followed i.e. HSE reporting etc. This together with his welding experience gives him a valuable know-how on how to establish sustainable quality.

Paul enjoys a working environment where he feels challenged, in a company where the attitude breathes high quality. We welcome Paul to the Hisland (Himec) team and look forward to a sustainable future.
